Scalable Infrastructure for Logistics & Manufacturing
Warehousing is a volume business where margins are tight and efficiency is everything. Greentech Scotland understands that your building is not just storage; it is a machine. We provide the heavy-duty electrical and safety infrastructure required to keep that machine running at peak capacity.
1

High-Bay LED Lighting
In a logistics environment, visibility equals speed. Dim, yellow sodium lighting leads to misread labels, slow picking rates, and increased forklift accidents. We design and install High-Bay LED arrays that deliver crisp, daylight-balanced illumination (5000K). This improves Color Rendering (CRI), ensuring your team can read SKU labels instantly and accurately, boosting throughput and reducing costly shipping errors.
2

Flexible Power Distribution
Modern supply chains change rapidly. You cannot afford to be tied down by fixed wall sockets. We specialize in Overhead Busbar Trunking Systems; a flexible "plug-and-play" power backbone suspended from your ceiling. This allows you to drop 3-phase power feeds to new conveyor belts, packaging machinery, or forklift charging bays instantly, without running new cables back to the distribution board.
3

Fire Safety at Height
Standard fire detection fails in large open spaces. We install specialized systems designed for high ceilings, including Optical Beam Detectors and Aspirating Smoke Detection (VESDA). These technologies actively sample the air to detect smoke before it stratifies, ensuring early warning protection for your stock and assets.
4

Perimeter Security & Yard Management
Your inventory is vulnerable the moment it leaves the racking. Greentech secures your perimeter with automated Sliding Gates, Traffic Barriers, and ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras. We ensure only authorized fleet vehicles enter your loading bays, creating a secure, traceable log of all yard movements.
Slash Your Overheads: The Cost of Carbon
Lighting a 50,000 sq ft warehouse with legacy Metal Halide or SON lamps is a financial hemorrhage. These outdated fittings waste up to 70% of their energy as heat. For a Financial Director, this represents an unnecessary drain on OpEx.
Greentech’s Industrial LED Retrofits typically reduce lighting energy bills by 70-80%. Furthermore, by integrating Daylight Harvesting sensors, your lights will automatically dim when skylights provide sufficient natural illumination.
Maintenance Savings
Our LED fixtures are rated for 50,000+ hours. This eliminates the significant cost and safety risk of hiring scissor lifts to replace blown bulbs at height every few months.
We Work While You Pick
We know you cannot simply shut down the warehouse to change a lightbulb. Disruption to your picking face means missed delivery slots.

Greentech operates under a strict Live Environment Protocol. We are experts in working safely around active forklifts and picking teams.
1
Cordoned Safety Zones
We secure our working area with physical barriers to separate our MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms) from your operatives.
2
Out-of-Hours Installation
We schedule high-risk overhead work during shift changes, nights, or weekends to ensure zero impact on your core operations.
3
Daily RAMS Briefings
Our site supervisors coordinate directly with your Shift Manager every morning to agree on safe routes and working zones.

The Physics of Fire: Why Standard Alarms Fail
In a warehouse with a 12m ceiling, a standard smoke detector is useless. Smoke from a small fire often cools and "stratifies" (flattens out) before it ever reaches the roof, meaning the alarm won't sound until the fire is already out of control.
Greentech solves this with Optical Beam Detection. We project an invisible infrared laser across the open space of your warehouse. If smoke rises and breaks this beam; at any height; the alarm is triggered instantly. For high-value or cold storage environments, we deploy VESDA (Very Early Warning Aspirating Smoke Detection), which uses a network of pipes to actively suck air into a laser analysis chamber, detecting microscopic smoke particles minutes before a flame is visible.
Tailored for Your Inventory
Cold Storage & Distribution
We install IP65-rated moisture-proof lighting and heated camera housings designed to operate reliably in temperatures as low as -30°C, ensuring safety in freezer environments.
Manufacturing Assembly
High-amperage power drops and Task Lighting designed to provide shadow-free illumination for precision assembly lines, reducing defect rates.
Logistics Hubs
Design and installation of EV Charging Infrastructure for electric delivery fleets, including load balancing to prevent tripping the main site supply during overnight charging.
Industrial & Warehousing FAQs
Do I need to empty the racking for you to change the lights?
Generally, no. Our IPAF-certified teams use narrow-aisle scissor lifts and boom lifts to access fittings above racking. We can usually work around your stock, provided there is a safe corridor for the machine base. We plan this in detail during the site survey.
What is the recommended Lux level for a warehouse?
CIBSE Guidelines typically recommend 150-200 Lux for general storage areas and unmanned aisles. However, for picking faces, packing benches, and loading bays, this should be increased to 300+ Lux to ensure labels can be read accurately and safety is maintained.
Can you certify existing electrical work?
Yes. If you have moved into a new unit, Greentech can perform a full EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) to verify the safety of the existing infrastructure. We often find that previous tenants have left dangerous modifications; we identify and rectify these to ensure you are compliant and insured.
