The Solution

Instead of treating each housing plot as a standalone job, we approached the development as a unified infrastructure project. We deployed a dedicated, locally sourced team of NICEIC-approved engineers managed by a central site supervisor. By utilizing centralized procurement, bulk materials handling, and phased, standardized installations, we enabled multiple housing units to be wired, tested, and commissioned concurrently. This systematic approach meant our electrical teams could work seamlessly alongside plumbers, joiners, and groundworkers, ensuring that plot handover dates were consistently met and the overall development timeline remained completely on track.
Technical Implementation
The technical scope of work for Forth Valley View extended from the initial main DNO (Distribution Network Operator) intake connections down to the final circuitry and testing of each individual plot. Our engineers handled the complete installation of robust consumer units, ensuring all protective devices met the stringent requirements of the latest BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations.
A major focus of the technical implementation was life safety and compliance. We designed and installed hardwired, interlinked fire, smoke, and carbon monoxide detection systems in every property, ensuring total compliance with the updated Scottish Government legislation for domestic fire alarms. In addition, we installed energy-efficient LED lighting circuits throughout the homes to minimize baseline energy consumption for the new homeowners.
